18A Create a Customer Avatar

In my vision of my customer avatar, my avatar would be a 20-year-old college student who knows enough about food to understand that there are better options out there than the low-quality options offered from stadium vendors or fast food restaurants. He is a very devoted sports fan and goes to games religiously whenever he isn’t working trying to put himself through school. Which is another reason why he would be a frequent customer of my establishment? He doesn’t have the availability to spend a bunch of money on expensive stadium food whenever he goes to games. It sucks that he either has to preplan his meals around the events that he’s attending or hoping he doesn’t starve as he waits until after the event to finish before he is able to go get food. My avatar as doesn’t have a lot of friends, so it doesn’t give him a lot of options to make the expensive stadium food any cheaper. Besides going to sporting events my avatar is very active in his community and likes to support local businesses rather than feed the cooperate machine.  

I think I have a lot in common with my avatar. He was me when I was in high school and my first few years of college. I worked for a bunch but never seemed to have much money available. I’ve had to sacrifice in some areas of my budget in order to enjoy the activities that I enjoy the most. One of those is that I am a huge sports fan and love going to games whenever possible. These games cost a lot of money to attend either with a season ticket or with tickets to individual games, I have had to make the tough choice multiple times to starve because I would rather save money for something more important later down the line. I think this is a good trait that I have developed over time and it has allowed me to be more finically stable as I pay my way through college. I think this type of person is everywhere in our society, so giving them an option that won’t break the bank is something I want this business to provide to these people.

    Great job creating your customer avatar. You really went into such great detail that helps create the image in everyones head. I agree that I have a lot in common with this avatar. I enjoy going to sporting outings but i hate the food that is offered. If there was good, I would be more inclined to go to a place.

    Hey man,
    I thought you did an excellent job creating your customer avatar. The detail you used really help me imagine your customer avatar as a real person. Your avatar goes through daily problems just like many of us do. Your avatar is a lot like many students. They can't afford stadium food, and have to plan there meals around there social schedule.

As I look back on this past semester in ENT 3003 I can only imagine what it would be like if I had chosen not to take this class during drop/add. I have learned so much not only from a business perspective but on creative thinking and perseverance even when things were to become difficult. 9A Testing Hypothesis Part 2

The interviews: As a continuation to the first part of my opportunity, I conducted 5 more interviews of students, fans, and other members of the community to gain a better understanding of the lack of affordable food options at major events around Gainesville. Some interesting findings that I noticed throughout the interview process are that this issue seems to mainly affect students and people who don’t necessarily have an endless amount of free income. Students obviously have a lot of educational expenses with tuition, room and board, books, etc. So, they don’t necessarily have the ability to spend $10-$15 on two small items from concession stands at sports games or food trucks at concerts. 15A Figuring Out Buyer Behavior #2

        Summary of Interviews Based on the three interviews that I’ve obtained for this assignment there are definitely some clear elements to products in this space that are huge determining factors when it comes to buyer behavior. One of the common threads that were brought up numerous times throughout the interviews was the quality of the food is better than that of the vendor options offered inside the stadiums. They told me some of their horror stories of how terrible their experience was with some of the concession stands that they’ve experienced while attending sporting events.
