19A Idea Napkin #2

1.) I bring a lot of experience in the food and restaurant industry particularly from a delivery and compact spaces realm. I feel this experience will translate well to a food truck environment because I will be able to thrive in this unique restaurant type. I also feel like my organizational skills and creativity allow me the opportunity to keep the business in check while still being able to try new innovative ideas with both the food program as well as future marketing endeavors.
2.) I will be providing customers with a high-quality food product at a very reasonable cost at events such as UF sporting events and at music festivals/concerts.
3.) The target demographic for this product are individuals that are looking for a high-quality food product that won’t affect their bank accounts too much. I see these customers being a mixture of college students to parents with children that both in a situation that doesn’t allow them to spend a large amount of money. Both situations have their reasons for that but providing this product can alleviate the stress from both sides equally.
4.) This product will allow these customers to have options when it comes to eating at any particular sporting event or concert. These events utilize a monopoly on the food options within the venue which allows them to jack up the prices on food items that would normally not be as expensive. Also, it allows them to be lacking in the quality of the food as well. I have my own personal experiences where the food I had gotten from one generic food vendor at a sports game being severely under par for even an average eating establishment.
5.) The core competencies for this product and service are the recipes that I have created for this food truck as well as the quality of the food that I am going to provide from this truck. I’m not going to cut corners in the need for profits and I am going to keep my prices affordable in order to provide my customers the best product available at a price that won’t break the bank.

Feedback Memo
I didn’t receive any feedback from my last Idea Napkin post till now. I think that I have really strengthened my ideas and my competencies since the last time I wrote for this assignment.

  2. Hi Cameron!

I really enjoyed reading your idea napkin. Though you did not receive any comments or feedback from your previous idea napkin, it seems as though you have progressed tremendously with your business idea. I am also in the food industry with my product so I can relate to the main concern of providing high-quality food that won't break the bank aspect. I think this is of the utmost importance when thinking about a entrepreneurial idea because it is what customers often look for first and foremost when walking into a restaurant. Nice work!

  3. Hey Cameron!
I also didn't get as much feedback as I would've liked to help further expand on my opportunity, but I think the past few assignments we've done the last couple weeks helped me identify some areas within my original idea napkin that needed some touching up. Creating a customer avatar and creating our prototypical customer helped with lengthen number three of this assignment and provide more details about who I'm selling my service to. Nice post, Cameron!

  5. Hi Cameron,

You have outlined a great business concept with all the moving components that fit well together. I also did not receive a lot of feedback on my Idea Napkin No.1 but I did notice when I went back and re-read my post, I found areas where I could make improvements. I am glad to see you were also able to do this. Affordable and quality food at events is definitely a market that would draw in a number of customers! Great post.
